News:The 2023 French Packaging Act can be registered! Major cross-border platforms have also begun to enforce the EPR regulations. Sellers need to register the packaging law as long as they sell their products to European countries. What should sellers who have recently registered the packaging law need to pay attention to? And I heard that the French Packaging Law in 2023 has a new policy. Today, the editor will share with you the content of the French EPR New Policy and the seller's coping skills.

According to the official announcement of France, the recycling fee of the French packaging law in 2023 will increase from 80 euros to 150 euros; (excluding tax)

2023: The recycling class is divided into 0-19999 sales products, 20000-500000 sales products, and more than 500000 sales products.

  ●Newly registered sellers in 2023

Newly registered sellers in 2023 need to pay a minimum of 80 Euros after registration to issue a UIN number. If the seller has made a detailed declaration before June 2023, there is no need to pay an additional 70 Euros. If the seller cannot provide detailed declaration data, An additional recycling fee of EUR 70 will be charged.

What is a UIN registration number?

The full name of UIN is Unique Identification Number, translated as unique identification number. From January 1, 2022, the new registration number of "Identifiant Unique" (unique identification number) will be provided on the French producer responsibility organization portal. Each type of French EPR has A UIN number. Identifiant Unique can be obtained from French recycling schemes approved for your packaging. After the seller obtains the UIN number, it can be directly bound to the EPR registration number filling page of mainstream cross-border e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, eBay, and AliExpress, and can be reported regularly in the later period to facilitate the completion of EPR compliance requirements.

●Sellers who have registered in 2022 and need to renew

The seller will receive a bill of 150 euros in March 2023, and the seller can choose to pay or not to pay.

Sellers who do not pay need to submit a detailed declaration based on the situation in 2022 to the recycler. only after the French recycler confirms and judges that the declaration is correct can the seller continue to enjoy the discount of 80 euros for the recycling fee. And the seller will receive a bill of 80 euros in June 2023, and then the seller can pay according to the bill.

If the seller still wants to enjoy the discount after choosing to pay in March, he will also follow the above operation and provide a detailed declaration based on the situation in 2022. After the recycler judges that the declaration is correct, the fee of 70 euros will be refunded.

  ●Sellers applying for 2023 registration in 2022

The seller will first receive a bill of 80 euros in 2022. If the seller provides a detailed declaration based on the situation in 2022 in 2023, and the recycler judges that the declaration is correct, there will be no additional fees bill. Otherwise, in June 2023, you will receive another bill of 70 euros.

●Sellers who apply for 23-year registration in 2023

The seller can provide a detailed declaration based on the situation in 2022 at the same time of the application (for details, you can consult the service provider registered for the seller), and the payment amount will be determined by the judgment of the recycler.

Declaration time: January 1, 2023 - February 28, 2023 (Sellers who fail to submit the declaration on time will lose their UIN)

During the period from January 1, 2023 to February 28, 2023, sellers need to confirm the exact quantity of products to be launched in the French market in 2022 for declaration. If the seller fails to submit the declaration on time, the UIN number will become invalid. So how can the seller ensure that the declaration goes smoothly?

Sellers can refer to the following methods: ⑴ Sellers who put less than 10,000 packages in the French market in 2022 only need to confirm the quantity and type of products you sell and send them to the service provider, and you do not need to pay any other fees. When the seller receives the declaration notification, the seller only needs to make relevant /confirm/iation. ⑵ Sellers who put 10,000 to 500,000 packages on the French market in 2022 must confirm how many packages you put on the French market in 2022. If you sell more, you will receive a supplementary invoice from the recycling company (X Euro - 80 Euro difference invoice). The seller needs to pay the difference. ⑶ Sellers who put more than 500,000 packages on the French market in 2022 must fill in a detailed declaration. You must collect detailed data on its packaging to be able to record the number of packages by product, weight and material.
